I think you can "rent" wetsuits from tri uk.... might save an expensive purchase which you later hate.

As for bikes.... well that is much harder, what is your budget?

Agreed, all depends on your budget mate, if you're just having a taster at triathlon there are plenty of second hand bikes knocking around. TriUK in Yeovil is well worth a visit as the do starter kits on a budget with everything you would need.

Have ordered a blue seventy wetsuit from wiggle and am considering a roux or boardman bike from halfords

Do you quality for cycle to work scheme? You could save a few quid on the bike purchase that way too.

Check out the local bike shops for advise, before going with a bike from Halfords (not saying they are rubbish, but you might get a better deal elsewhere).

our cycle to work scheme ran out on 15th May d'oh! next one sep/oct 2015 and can save about £173 for each £500!

will wait till then and get one, might pop into mud sweat and gears?

Mud sweat and gears are doing deals on their remaining 2014 stock, will be worth a look. Search Youtube for the plastic bag method of getting your wetsuit on.

I think I'll wait for the cycle to work scheme to kick in first bruce and I have seen that video the suit was just a bit small, I got it on ok but the gap at the back was too big for the zip to do up lol (fat knacker!)
